Name: Ayameko Kabila
Nicknames: Aya, 'Meko, Ayame, Mei,
Gender: Female?
Age: Hmmm in letters eh? Twenty-three (23)
Height: Four feet and eleven inches (4'11)
Weight: Weight fluctuates between Ninety-Eight (98) lbs and One hundred and elven (111)
Ignore the tattoo on her. Character doesn't have it.
Appearance: Ayameko is an ethereal beauty that almost seems ageless. She has midnight black hair that when it is not in one of her elaborate hairdo's falls down to her hips and holds a slight wave to it. Her brown eyes hold tender compassion inside them and are doe like in shade. Her face is sweetly shaped and her skin is soft and satiny with a pale complexion. Her body is slender and lean the muscles toned from years of dance lessons. She is truly a woman of the karyūkai, the flower and willow world. Her demeanor leans much to her appearance. She is subdued and quiet when needed. Engaging and playful at the appropriate times. She sings, she dances, she is an artist. The world is her canvas, her body the brush, and her skills displayed... her art.
Wardrobe: Ayameko is seen almost exclusively in fine silk kimonos and yukata's. Her okiya (Ochaya) is known to have collected some of the rarest kimono's pre WWII. She is the sole Geisha of her okiya, her skills far renowned in the Geisha circle. When out and about in town she is normally seen with a purse, parasol, and in a Yukata if during daylight hours. In the night time she is normally in full geisha glory, complete with a more traditional purse for evening use. She does carry a mobile and a stack of business cards in said evening purse.
Personality: Ayameko has grown up in the flower and willow world. Her mother was a former geisha that was one of the rare ones to in fact take a Dana in this day and age and during that time she was conceived. Her Mother retired early as she wanted a family and that is not something you can have and work while a Geisha. From the time she was 3 years old she has been practicing her art and this has very much shaped a large part of who she is.
Ayameko has been almost completely sheltered in this world of hers. She has always been privately taught by her mother and where her mother lacked in education private tutors were brought in, supported by her Father, her Mother's Danna. Ayameko is demure, compassionate, and very much naive.

Background: Ayameko was born Kabila, Yuko into the Flower and Willow World of the Geisha. Her mother is truly her Okasan biologically and of the Okiya. Her father has been sparse in her life but has provided financially at times when needed. He is a traditional Businessman and has another family apart from them. Her Father is a secret from her and she is his youngest daughter, unknown to his family. She knows the basics, that her Mother had fallen in love with her patron and that was not to be. She has seen first hand what happens to one's career and life when they allow business and personal life to mix. Because of this she has a strong work ethic of keeping clients separate from her personal life.
Ayameko began training at a more traditional age from her mother at the age of 3 on how to walk, talk, dance, and play some of the more traditional instruments. She was a hard working child and while she was curious as to what lay beyond the walls of her Mother's estate and Okiya she also heard the sounds of sirens and for a long while had a slight bout of agoraphobia. It took a few years for her to get over her fear of leaving from the outside walls but always with her mother. She came to know the hairdressers, the kimono makers, the Shamasein sellers, and the theaters well.. at least the ones that owned those places. Her Mother made sure to introduce her to the tea houses at a tender age, and to endear her to them.
Without realizing it, Ayameko was being taught these politcs at a young age. The social politicing would soon become second nature to the young girl. The years were filled with training, always training. When she reached the age of 15 she took the Maiko test and passed on her first try, it was expected of her to pass after all, she had been training under her mother for a good 12 years by this point. At the age of 21 she was announced a full fledged Geisha and her fee was already three times the amount of her fellow Geiko's and still paid and well sought out.
Ayameko consistently works on her skills, and is often found practicing throughout the day at home. She makes regular visits throughout the week to the various theaters and regularly makes the rounds she was brought along with as a child still, always bringing small gifts for the shop keeps and theater owners as well as bringing regular contributions to the local shrine and name dropping her favored tea houses. All of this she does in part because she thinks of all of these people and families as part of her own family and in part because she knows this will help her career and to keep her family in good standing.
Plot hook possiblity: Reincarnation of one of the human 'Masters'.
Roleplay Sample: Ayameko was warm and content but there was something causing her to stir from her restful slumber. She tried to ignore it but it was persistent... with a sigh the young woman sat up and blinked open her eyes as she rubbed the sleep from it. She looked to the clock, she had only been asleep for 2 hours and the moon still hung in the sky. She blinked as she gazed around, not seeing anything.
What had awaken her?
"Aya... the time is coming..."A deep voice whispered.
Ayameko looked around for the source of the voice, "Who's there?"
A figure stepped out, cloaked in shadows. "Aya... you must help me... Help me bring out my power... or our people... will die..."
Ayameko wasn't sure but for some reason she felt she could trust him... she could trust this voice, this figure. "How can I help you? How can I do that?"
He took her hand, still she could not see his face and he drew her towards him. "Enter the age old agreement, enter into another bond as old as time... one your soul knows. I will protect you to the best of my abilities and you in turn will stay near my side and let me take your hand as I do now to unlock the power locked away inside of me. Do you accept this agreement, will you bind yourself, body and soul, once more to this contract?"
"I will." Ayameko said softly, her heart pounding in her chest.
She still could not see his face but could feel that he was smirking as he leaned forward and his lips, surprisingly soft, claimed hers. Her eyes widened for a moment but there was still that feeling of trust. He wouldn't go farther and she knew it as she closed her eyes and simply let herself trust him.
He drew back, his face still cloaked in shadows and he spoke softly, "Sleep..."
It was as if he held power over her and Ayameko felt herself drifting to sleep, in his arms. And when she next awoke, to the sound of her alarm clock, she was alone, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she gazed out her bedroom window...
"Was it all a dream?" Ayameko whispered, as she brushed her lips with her fingertips, "It felt so real... I can almost feel the softness of his lips still..."
